When is the best time to get my fence?
No time is a bad time, however, Mother Nature does dictate when we can get on a job site. If the fence is part of an overall project to secure or beautify your property, please consult with us as early as possible to allow for planning and any ordering of material that may be necessary.
I was wondering, how much is a fence?
I don’t know. How much is a car? You see the problem here? It is an impossible question to answer until we know some more details about your project. What height do you want? How much linear footage do you have? What style are you interested in? When looking at cars, a Ford Taurus may suit your needs rather than a Cadillac Escalade. Similarly, a chain link fence may be the best solution rather than a polyvinyl privacy fence. It is always best to look over the many styles and heights available to you and consult with us on the particulars when we meet with you. Once we can narrow down your needs and expectations, we can better serve you with a quote.

How long does it take to get my fence?
Again, it depends on the particular height and style you choose for your project. Security Fence stocks more styles and height of fence than anyone in the state. However, we still have to order some styles and heights. Please ask our representative during your consultation what the lead time is.
I have a riding lawn mower, what size gates do you have?
We can make or get a gate in just about any size you need up to a point. Determine what you will need to get through the opening on a regular basis. Will it be just foot traffic? Riding lawn mowers? Vehicles? Once we know how the gate will be used, we can recommend the best size for you.
I have better things to do with my time; do I have to maintain my fence?
No fence is maintenance free. However, some styles are so low maintenance that you may only have to clean it if it gets dirty with regular use. Some customers prefer their wood fences to have a certain “new” look or color. That will require constant staining or painting over the years to maintain that particular look. Please talk to our representative about your low maintenance options.

I love doing projects myself, can I purchase material only?
Absolutely! Just get us a drawing of your layout with the style you are interested in, and we can figure an estimate for you. We are always available to answer questions on any style of fence that we carry. You won’t get that at a large box store!
Where can I look at a variety of styles to see what is available to me?
Just come to our outdoor showroom any day of the week and look at all the styles we have. If you happen to not see your particular style, just ask your representative where we have installed one. We are more than happy to get you pointed in the right direction.
What should I ask when talking to any fence company?
- How long have you been in business?
- Are you insured?
- What type of fences do you install/sell? (chain link, ornamental etc.)
- What is your product availability/inventory?
- What are my ordering options?
- What is my post sale support?
- How much training do you have?
- How long have you been carrying your manufacturer’s brands?
- What kind of durability can I expect?
- How is product packaged/shipped?
All these questions will be happily answered by any of our staff to ensure that you are dealing with the most reputable fence company.
What should I ask about installation?
- How much experience do the installers have?
- How long have they been working for you?
- How long will it take to complete my job?
